Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HantaData (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Nature of the Service

HantaData is an independent informational platform that aggregates and displays hantavirus-related signals from publicly available news and health surveillance sources. The Platform is provided for informational and research purposes only.

⚠ Medical Disclaimer

HantaData is NOT a medical service. Signal counts represent media mentions and news reports — not confirmed clinical cases. This data should never be used to make medical, clinical, or public health decisions. Always consult official sources (WHO, CDC, local health authorities) and qualified healthcare professionals for medical guidance.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided “as is” without any warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data
  • Fitness for any particular purpose
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

Signal counts are derived from automated parsing of news sources and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information.

Limitation of Liability

HantaData and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on the Platform, including but not limited to decisions made based on data displayed.

No Affiliation

HantaData is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), ProMED, or any government agency or health authority.

Data Sources

HantaData aggregates data from publicly available RSS feeds and news sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party source data. Links to external sources are provided for reference only.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Spread misinformation or misrepresent signal data as confirmed case counts
  • Scrape or reproduce data at scale without attribution
  • Attempt to access restricted areas (admin panel) without authorization

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
